Victoria Harbour got its' name from the early settlers in honour of Queen
Victoria. It was once an active fishing village with a wharf but all this
is gone now as costly repairs to the wharf made the operation not viable
in such a small community. The fishermen then used Morden or Harbourville
and after the end of the Morden wharf only Harbourville remains at the
present time.
The church was built in 1884-84 by Caleb Saunders. Kelly Villa at the
top of the mountain sometimes considered part of Victoria Harbour. Krystal's
grandmother Ida Smith worked there in the 1920's. Not only was it the first
place to have power it also had the first car.
There are about 65 people in the community at the present time. The
local businesses in the community are farming, logging, and a mechanic.
