Shiretown of Kings County
Kentville is the largest community in the Annapolis Valley with a population of more than 5500.
It has several institutions of interest:
- Valley Regional Hospital (a major centre for health care in western Nova Scotia)
- Host of the Apple Blossom Parade and associated festivities the first week in June
- Old Kings Courthouse Museum
This was the seat of justice and municiple government from 1903 to 1980. Restored in 1981
and headquarters of the Kings Historical Sociey. The museum houses a collection of
social and natural history artifacts, archives of King's County history and genealogy. It is a centre for studies and Canadian Parks Service
artifacts relating to the New England Planters. 678-6237

- Pleasant ground and a hillside of extensive Rhododendron and Azalea Bushes - blooms peak in mid-June
- Kentville Ravine
