Reading Your E-mail Online with Pine

You may also access your electronic mail by using the mail software 'pine' on the glooscap server. Members who access the Glooscap Community Network from a Library or School Computer Laboratory, will have to use this method. After you log in using telnet type 'mail' or 'pine' with a carriage return. This will start the email program and access your mail. The program is menu driven, so that you can easily get around the program. When you are composing or reading a message, read the commands at the bottom of the screen to exit, etc.

To login to your account, e.g. using telnet, specify glooscap.go.ednet.ns.ca as your target host. For more help read User Help for telnet and ftp
